This month proved to be an extremely busy and expensive one. I don't much enjoy the expensive parts, but they are in order to save us money over the long run.
The month started with two baby appointments. The first one was my ultrasound! We excitedly found out we are having a little man this time. Adam was is so excited and we're both anxiously awaiting the arrival of this guy. The very next day I saw my OB/GYN to go over the ultrasound and just a regular baby check up, he doesn't do the big ultrasounds in office. Everything looks wonderful with the new addition and he's right on track with his due date of August 23, 2012.
Then we had our annual Easter Egg Hunt/Party. This year we had 60 people out and the weather was wonderful. Yet again, I failed to get ANY pictures, I always mean well but forget to pull out the camera. Prepping for Easter was harder this year as the weather was very wet and soggy in the days leading up to it and it's hard to get the yard nice in the rain. Grace loved Easter though and she and I both got a little sun burnt.
The following week we switched over insurance carriers. This was an EXPENSIVE part of the month. However, it's going to save us several hundred dollars a year. We went from a monthly payment plan to a bi-yearly plan, so we had to pay for 6 months at once. We're excited though because we switch our renters and car insurance over as well as adding the mini van (did I mention we now own my parents old minivan, yep, did that this month too) and Adam's motorcycle all have insurance for cheaper then what we used to pay for well... just the car before! It's amazing how much you can save sometimes and it's good to shop around at times.
This last week we've finally gotten around to getting stuff for Adam and the motorcycle. Oh, and we've fixed up the minivan another huge EXPENSE. Adam needed new tires for his bike and he really needed new riding gear, so we took care of that this week. The van has been in and out of the shop this week, we took it in and it was "done" but the drive home proved that some things got missed, so back it went.
All and all, lots of running around and looking at the budget and savings and just feeling so sick. The new baby will be here in 4 months or so and building savings back up to pay for the baby is possible (actually, should be really easy with the money saving switches) but I'd rather have the money for the baby now. Thousands of dollars have been spent fixing the van and bike and getting the proper riding gear, the best part.... we're not done yet. I'm just so glad I have a wonderful husband that works hard so that we're able to build up savings quickly and afford to do big things.
I keep telling myself, new insurance is saving us hundreds of dollars a year, the van needed a good tune up (and the random electrical issues resolved), the bike will save us half our fuel costs at the very least every month he rides. One money draining, running month will make for money saving, slower months to come. What I don't understand is how did this month drrrrraaaa...ggggg on this month with everything that's happened.
22 weeks down in this pregnancy, 18 left to go!

Leap Day! wait that was yesterday...
I was so excited, yesterday was Leap Day! I was going to make a post, but here I am sitting today... no post yesterday. I had the idea to post on the 28th but some how I completely forgot on the 29th.
Well, things have calmed way down with Adam's job. We're staying put, the offer just wasn't going to be good enough. I'm really excited and now we're down to making big plans. Adam is working hard in school still and he's hoping to finish in 5 years (I'm expecting 6 years) but fingers crossed it goes quickly and well. I'm ready for him to be done with school, BUT then he'll probably just be working longer hours with work so the end trade off will feel the same as school.
I'm now officially 15weeks along with our second baby. People have asked do you have a gender preference, any names. Well, no and no, Adam would like a boy but I really haven't thought much about it or what gender I would like. As for names, technically we decided long ago that we'll be naming a boy Adam Jr, but I feel weird about naming children after people, but we'll just see how that works out. I'm just thrilled to be having another baby and that Grace will have someone to play with.
Grace, by the way, now has 5 teeth! She got 4 in a week a few weeks ago, it was a shock to us. I'm so excited for how much she's growing. She runs like no one's business and is starting to try her hand at climbing. She's gotten really good at saying dog and is working hard on cat. Dog is fairly clear and puts a bit of emphasis on the G (she just figured out that part) and cat is still more of a caaaaa. She knows I'm mom, but only says it when she wants something like a bottle. Dad I know she knows, but she doesn't say it very often, when she does frequently she says it when I answer the phone. She's a wonderful little girl and I love her SO much.
That's the new and happening things of my life, take care!

Just another day
So I said I'd have some exciting news in the coming weeks, then I just left you hanging. Well the biggest update is that Adam and I are expecting another little one around the end of August (8/23/12). We were over joyed when we found out and very surprised. Right now we're 13 weeks along and everything is going wonderfully.
The next bit of information is that there is a chance we may be moving. Right now Adam is working on things with his current company but in a larger city. I'm hoping we stay he's hoping we go to what ever happens someones going to be happy.
Soon I plan to update/post pictures of Christmas and well anything/everything that's happened sine Thanksgiving, but getting the energy to sit down and do that just isn't on my priorities list.

One Year
Yesterday was my little girls 1st Birthday and it really got me thinking about the time leading up to her arrival and how much has changed in the last year.
I'll start with a little back story. Adam and I got married (yay) and we planned to have children right away, but until then I'd work. Well, weeks turned into months and months into years, we found out we were suffering with "unexplained infertility." What a FUN thing and it was extremely taxing on our relationship. Most never saw that we were suffering, we worked hard to keep private matters that way. We let people know we were having trouble having a child, but never that the struggle really was hurting us. By the time we actually got pregnant we were first shocked and second scarred because we weren't sure about ourselves as a family. We struggled for the first few hormonal months but things started to work.
Then Grace came into our life. What a wonderful day! To be honest I never thought that was the day she was coming. All day I'd had very very mild contractions, I put them off as braxton hicks as I'd had a few before and they were no where close to regular. Then suddenly my water broke, but barely... no gush like all the movies, and hour later the "real" contractions started. Shortly after that Adam arrived home and we went to the hospital. Long story short we arrived at 7:20 and had a baby in our arms by 10:01. I managed to only really labor for 5 hours! Much to my relief I also managed to go all naturally like I'd hoped (although I did beg my husband at one point for relief, he was so sweet and encouraged me to go just a little longer).
Now, we brought Grace home, what a scary time. Learning to be a mom, breastfeed, never sleep, change a million diapers, clean a house, make food, and do laundry took a while to get the hang of. Poor Adam even said he missed how I used to make dinner, as he was making it when he got home for a while. Needless to say I was tired for several months.
Grace has since hit many milestones and I'm so excited with everything she learns every day. My little one year old has only two little front teeth, walks, crawls on occasion, gets into EVERYTHING, and is generally an amazing little girl that I wouldn't change for the world.

Friday the 13th
Guess who's bad at blogging... ME. Ok, so I've been busy, you know there were holidays. Then I got some great excitement in my life, that I will share with you later when I know more.
Today is Friday the 13th (2 months till my Birthday!). Normally I anxiously awake the Fridays that fall in the 13th but I didn't even know this one was coming! I get on the computer and see things about it being the 13th, so sad. I love the 13th, it's my favorite number... mostly because that's the day I was born on and then because well it's supposed to be a "bad" number and that's my rebellion.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Friday the 13th (I hear there are two more coming this year). Stay tuned as soon I'll have some fun news to share, on don't tune in too soon... it'll probably be 2 weeks before you hear my news.
